Industrial Oxygen Concentrators

Industrial oxygen concentrators are advanced systems designed to meet the oxygen demands of various industries, including metal cutting, welding, glass blowing, water treatment, aquaculture, and more. These units offer reliable, continuous oxygen flow, ensuring efficiency and safety in critical operations.

Key Features of Industrial Oxygen Concentrators:

  1. Oxygen Flow Rate:
Industrial oxygen concentrators deliver oxygen at flow rates ranging from 10 Liters Per Minute (LPM) to over 10,000 LPM, depending on the application. For heavy-duty processes such as metal cutting, glass manufacturing, and wastewater treatment, higher flow rates are often necessary. Units are also measured in Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) or Normal Cubic Meters per Hour (Nm³/h), depending on specific needs.

  2. Oxygen Purity:
These oxygen generators offer adjustable purity levels, with standard industrial units providing between 90% and 95% oxygen purity. For medical or high-grade industrial applications, purities of 99% or higher can be achieved. Certain processes, such as wastewater treatment, may require slightly lower purity levels in the range of 85% to 90%.

  3. Pressure (PSI or Bar):
Oxygen is delivered at varying pressures, typically ranging from 20 PSI to 150 PSI (1.4 Bar to 10 Bar) or higher, depending on the operation. Applications like laser cutting and welding often require higher pressure, while other industrial tasks can be performed with moderate pressure settings.

  4. Operating Environment:
Industrial concentrators are designed to function optimally across a wide range of temperatures, from 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F). Units can also operate in high-humidity environments and at varying altitudes, though it’s important to verify the unit's altitude rating for high-elevation applications.

  5. Power Requirements:
Powered by single-phase or three-phase electricity, industrial oxygen concentrators require voltage ranging from 220V to 480V, with power consumption depending on output capacity. These units are energy-efficient, typically consuming from a few kilowatts to several hundred kilowatts.

  6. Control System:
Many industrial oxygen concentrators feature programmable logic controllers (PLC) for automated, efficient control and remote monitoring options, ensuring consistent performance and early detection of maintenance needs.

  7. Compressor & Filtration System:
A built-in or external air compressor feeds ambient air into the generator, with specifications tailored to match the system’s oxygen output needs. Advanced filtration systems, including air intake filters, molecular sieves, and carbon filters, ensure nitrogen is properly separated from oxygen, providing clean, high-purity oxygen.

  8. Physical Dimensions & Noise Levels:
Available in portable and stationary models, industrial oxygen generators come in various sizes to suit your space. Noise levels vary by model, but many units are engineered to operate quietly, making them suitable for a range of working environments.

  9. Maintenance & Certifications:
Easy-to-maintain designs allow for simple filter replacements and compressor checks. Some systems come equipped with self-diagnosing features that alert you when maintenance is required. Depending on your industry, certification compliance (ISO 13485, CE, ASME) may be necessary, ensuring that safety and operational standards are met.

Common Industrial Applications:

  • Metal cutting and welding
  • Glass and ceramics manufacturing
  • Ozone generation for water treatment
  • Fish farming (aquaculture)
  • Chemical and pharmaceutical production
  • Mining operations
